Today we went on one of the Explore the City rides organized by Cycle Action Auckland and Frocks on Bikes. It was quite a short but still enjoyable route (perhaps it was good that it was short because it was a very hot day). Afterwards we relaxed at the cool Catalina Café and also browsed through the very nice Hobsonville Point Farmers Market. This was the first time we had to take the car to the start of our cycle ride which meant we got to try out our new cycle rack from Ezi Grip. It took me a while to find one that did not require a tow bar.
Today Philemon and I discovered a new pool. It’s called Pt Erin and is in walking distance from his day care. I think it’s fantastic and feel like it’s what I’ve been looking for since we got here. It is outdoors, has diving boards, has a big lawan to relax and have a picnic, sells chips, has a playground, has fun pools…brilliant. Philemon loved it too and we’ll definitely be coming here after school more often.
