This weekend we tried a new walk called the North Shore City Coastal Walk. The walk starts on the North Shore of Auckland so of course we had to go to Diehl’s first. After a nice early sunny breakfast of Brezel and cheese sitting by the beach in Devonport we eventually started the walk. Most of [...] Today we drove to Mission Bay for an ice cream and some frisbee fun. Congrats Imogen recovering so well from her [...] Had a very relaxing Easter break on Waiheke this year. Lots of reading, swimming, sunning and eating. Perfect. Once again we took our cycles on the ferry, cycled the 10km to Onetangi and got a little room at the Waiheke Island Hostel. This time we also managed to go on the walk through the Onetangi Reserve (Forest & [...] Had a great mini-holiday at matapouri over the last few days. We were about 5min from the beach which was amazingly clear and calm one day and frighteningly rough the next day (there was a storm). Great walks to other beaches like Whale Bay too. Our own pictures are still on the lomo, but you can have [...] Today was Imogen’s birthday and we went to Cornvallis beach. Really great place with a big grass lawn and heaps of trees right by the beach. Perfect for picnics. Also all the gorgeous Pohutukawa trees were in [...] |
