This all happened pretty fast. They have a standard form issued by the Tenancy Tribunal which the landlord and the tenant fill out together. You hand over the deposit to landlord, landlord hands it over to Tenancy with completed and signed Tenancy Agreement…. hey presto! Done. We can live here for a year now. [...] Today was my first day working in NZ. The office is way bigger than i expected. All the floors are completely open plan with cubicles (first time i’m working in a cubicle). What was really nice was that within half a day i found that it was really international. There are guys from yugoslavia, australia, england, ireland, india, [...] Both signed up with vodafone today. There isn’t that much to choose from for mobile phone contracts. Just telecom and vodafone really. No new phones (just using the ones we brought from munich) and very basic cheap contracts to sart with (mine 20NZD, imogen 39NZD). Went to the new and flash looking transport center (called Britomart) to [...] Sad day, came way too fast. Breakfasted on the waterfront. Started on our journey back to our new home town. Feels strange. Cloudy day. Rain started. Excited about the [...] Last destination. Took us a couple of hours travelling along some of the most beautiful coast landscapes in NZ. Russell is a small coastal village. It was the first capital of New Zealand and one of the first European settlements. James Cook anchored off Motuarohia Island, just off the Russell peninsula in November 1769.
