Did quite a different walk this weekend. It’s called the Vining walkway (DOC) and is only a short drive from Auckland. It starts off with a walk across some meadows with some very inquisitive cows and a wade through a stream (brrr cold). A series of pretty clear orange markers lead you to the official start of [...] This weekend we had great fun tree climbing at a place called Tree Adventures (easy to drive to). There are seven courses and they all end with a flying fox which gets higher and higher each time [...] Today we went to see Foo Fighters (after a long wait). Man it was just awesome! No supporting act or anything. They just came straight on and entertained for over two and a half hours. Cool the way they don’t take themselves too serious and play music that totally rocks! They interacted with the crowd heaps more [...] The other day on my cycle home I stopped at the Avanti cycle shop and noticed that next to it there was this new little shop called Aquadeli. After having a quick look I realised that it was somewhere where I could get Sprudel! Since then i’ve stopped there quite a few times on a sunny day [...] This weekend we drove to Whatipu (ARC info) for a great windy, rainy and stormy walk along the beach and over the dunes.
