On Sunday while driving along green lane we stumbled onto the Alexandra Park Farmers Market, here (I always thought they were only on Saturdays). Here are details of some of the other Farmers Markets in New Zealand.
The stalls are all setup in the stables next to the race course which gives it a different feel (no, it’s not smelly). Really good fresh and cheap veggies (love those baby carrots). Got some good fruit loaf, a bar of soap, a hand-woven woolen rug, fresh fruit smoothie, lamb sausages and last but certainly not least an amazingly tasty, barbecued Chorizo with barbecued sweet red peppers and olive oil in a mini french-stick (last photo).

Keeewl. That reminds me, we were going to go to the one in Lower Hutt some time – better get onto it!
One would think that a market may not operate on a Sunday, but NZ is an amazingly secular country. Good Friday is under threat. I guess Christmas Day will be one day.
