This weekend we tried a new walk called the North Shore City Coastal Walk. The walk starts on the North Shore of Auckland so of course we had to go to Diehl’s first. After a nice early sunny breakfast of Brezel and cheese sitting by the beach in Devonport we eventually started the walk.
Most of the walk is along the various beaches but because it was high tide when we started, we had to follow the road in-land for some of the way. Along the way we discovered a really small cute sandy beach which i can’t remember the name of so we’ll have to go back. We only made it as far as Takapuna beach where we enjoyed some fish and chips and a corona.
The walk back towards Devonport was enjoyable too as it was quite different because of the low tide. Walked along and over lots of slippery rocks and boulders and crossed beaches you couldn’t during high tide.
